I just received an email from one of my genealogy mailing lists talking about a new resource for doing family history research in Michigan. The mission of Seeking Michigan is “To enrich quality of life by providing access to unique historical information that promotes Michigan’s cultural heritage. We define cultural heritage as the stories [...] Tonight’s episode of Supernatural was called “On the head of a pin”, but frankly, I think it should have been called “Revelations”. Why? Because there was a new revelation with each commercial break! Tonight’s episode was by far the best of the series in my opinion – even better than “Lazarus Rising” which was the first [...] I would be lying if I said that I have always had an interest in tracing my family history. There was a time that I was not interested, and I remember precisely the moment I did get interested in tracing my family genealogy. I can’t tell you WHEN, but I know the MOMENT. How weird is [...] During the course of today, I was able to read 4 different reviews of last night’s episode of Supernatural “Death Takes a Holiday”. While all four reviews were good recaps of the episode, there were some very obvious mistakes in the reviews. Zap2It’s Jessica Paff provides a fairly decent synopsis of events from the episode. I am amazed at Eric Kripke though – his ability to put so many twists and turns into the story to keep so much a secret while revealing a [...] A couple of days ago, I remember seeing a news story on the nightly national news – it was about Abraham Lincoln’s pocket watch and the discovery of a message inside of it. The CNN story is here. The watch maker’s name was Jonathan Dillon. The investigation was spurred on by his Gr-Gr-Grandson, Douglas Stiles. I must say I agree [...] I’ve been working on my genealogy again since I got the bug. LOL. I was looking for more information on the parents of Richard Barker who was born in 1621 in Andover Massachusetts. I had the information that his parents were John Barker and Margaret Mawle. However, that information came from the IGI – International Genealogical Index- [...] It’s no secret that I love the show Supernatural.
