This weekend (tonight actually), we have to change our clocks – we fall back 1 hour. In the spring we move the clocks ahead 1 hour. To me, it makes absolutely no sense to change the clocks. Why shouldn’t the clocks stay set at the same time all year around? With my job, I’m technically on 6 week contracts – and if there is enough people registering for a class, then I work. If not, then I’m out of work for a short time. The nice thing about this is about 1 month before the actual election date, I receive the ballot in the mail and can fill it out at my convenience and drop it off or mail it [...] Yesterday, the Shire of Stormvale hosted their annual Harvest of Souls event. For the first time in several years, I volunteered to help out – in the kitchen. The feast co-coordinator, Balian de Brionne, is an old friend of mine and I volunteered to help him out with a labor intensive dish – Pippin [...] Someone had asked me why I went back to school to get my degree in Information Technology. Quite honestly, it’s so that if something happens to my job, I will have the credentials to find another one. I was looking at jobs this summer and discovered that while most of them sounded interesting – [...] The last couple of weeks I have been thinking a lot about people in my past that have had expectations of me in different areas of my life and how I have surprised them. What’s worse is the phone calls – the automated ones that come on every day of the week – touting some politician.
