Ever since an old friend came back into my life, I’ve been wondering why and have thought about it a LOT. One thing that I have noticed is that every time I have thought about this person, certain feelings came to the surface. Feelings that I haven’t had in a long time – good feelings. [...] Today I’m teaching a lesson in Intermediate Word Processing using MS Word 2000. We are covering the editing functions (cut, copy, paste, format painter), learning how to insert a page break, learning how to place borders and shading around text, etc. To me, these things are second nature. To my students, this is [...] Well, the plan that I *thought* I was going to follow changed when I spoke to my mentor last weekend. It seems that I will not have to complete the IC3 certification afterall – since it’s pretty basic. My mentor told me that it would automatically be fulfilled when I complete my A+ certification. [...] I have in the past cooked a feast for a Stormvale event. That was somewhere around 10 years ago or so. Then I got involved in other activities in the SCA, so I haven’t had a chance to get back into the kitchen again. Well, now I’ve offered to help my friend Balian [...] I’ve participated in a historical “re-enactment/re-creation” group for several years. Although, I haven’t been real active the last few years due to work obligations, I still feel connected to the local branch of the SCA to which I belong. I have a web page that I put together a while ago that describes [...] I’m a believer that things happen for a reason. I have always wanted to be a teacher, but a series of events took me from the traditional K-12 classroom to the job that I have today – one that I never envisioned for myself. Looking back on it, I have to believe those events [...] One of my favorite “extras” on DVD’s is the gag reels that are included. Usually I am disappointed with the gag reel because they are short – 2 or 3 clips and not really that funny. Well, I saw a gag reel tonight that I am NOT disappointed in – it was included [...] Tonight I finished the EWB class! I’m so happy! The class was fun and interesting, but I am so ready to get on with the rest of my studies. The class technically was supposed to take 25 days, but I finished it in 13 (and that was with the portal being down 4 [...] 5 years ago today, something unthinkable to most Americans happened. Terrorists attacked the U.S.A. The twin towers of the World Trade Center were hit within minutes of each other by hijacked airplanes. A short time later, another hijacked airplane hit the pentagon. A fourth hijacked airplane crashed in Pennsylvania – destination unknown, [...] Well, tonight I finished my essay for my EWB class. It was supposed to be a 1 page, 5 paragraph essay on “what do you expect to be doing in the IT field in 5 years?” Heck, I don’t know what I’ll be doing in 5 days let alone 5 years!
