Here it is the last day of June already. Hard to believe. I had planned back in April to take a vacation in July – just after the 4th because I have a family reunion in Massachusetts on July 7-8 and another one in Michigan on July 15 to attend. Originally I had [...] While watching the news today I discovered that one of my prescription drugs lost it’s patent protection today. In otherwords, a generic will now become available for it – meaning it will become MUCH cheaper for me to get! This is terrific news as it is a drug that is NOT covered by my [...] Normally during the summer, I get to write or revise manuals for the company that I’m working for. This summer, I’m teaching and I get to update the manuals. In order to update the manuals, I have to first update myself on the “new” technologies. Well, one of those things I’m finding this [...] Some of the people that I’ve been asked to teach this summer have asked me about learning how to type or learning keyboarding skills. Well, I dug out my old poster of how to hold your fingers on the keyboard and which fingers you are supposed to use for which keys and hung it in [...] The company that I’m contracted to recently secured a contract to do some quick training for some “displaced” workers in the Cincinnati Ohio area. I use the term displaced loosely – they have been locked out for about a year and every indication is that now the company that these unionized workers did work at [...] In February I went to a Neurologist for migrane headaches. He confirmed that they were indeed caused by my hormones as they occured around my menstrual cycle (duh – didn’t need him to tell me that!), but he told me that they could also be prevented potentially with a medication.
